The art of cacao ceremony 🤎 Cacao ceremonies trac The art of cacao ceremony 🤎 Cacao ceremonies trace back thousands of years to Central and South America, where cacao was deeply valued by the Olmec, Maya, and Aztec civilizations. The cacao plant was considered sacred, and Theobroma cacao translates to “food of the Gods” — theo meaning gods and broma meaning food. Cacao was valued so highly that the Aztecs even used cacao beans as currency. Precious, indeed. For ceremonial, medicinal, and spiritual purposes, cacao was traditionally prepared as a rich, foamy beverage. The beans were ground into a paste and mixed with water, chilli, honey, herbs, flowers, and other local spices. It was consumed during rituals as a means of connection, healing, revelation, and awakening. Today, cacao ceremonies continue in many different forms. At their heart is the idea of gathering together with intention drinking cacao, listening to music, singing, dancing, sharing, and connecting as a community. There’s a unique energy that comes from experiencing it together. You may leave feeling lighter, happier, and more connected to the people around you, to nature, and to the present moment. Ceremonial cacao is minimally processed, retaining its natural fats, magnesium, and theobromine. * Purity: Ceremonial cacao is made from 100% organic, heirloom cacao beans, with no additives, sugar, or dairy * Purpose: While regular chocolate is used for indulgent snacking, ceremonial cacao is used intentionally, often in rituals, meditation, and holistic healing, mindful snacking.
